You can delete your PRK account and the data associated with it at any time. This page explains what's deleted, how, and how long it takes — whether or not you still have the app installed.
Option 1: Delete your account in the app
This is the fastest route and it removes everything at once. Open PRK → Settings → Delete Account, then type DELETE to confirm. You may be asked to sign in again first — that is a security check to confirm it's really you.
Deletion happens immediately. Your account, profile, saved vehicles and dispute records are removed, your sign-in is revoked, and everything stored on the device is erased.
Option 2: Clear local data only
If you want to wipe the phone but keep your account, use Settings → Clear All Data. This erases what's stored on your device — your saved plate, parking history, dispute drafts, and any AI provider keys you've added — and leaves your account intact.
Option 3: Ask us, if you can't use the app
If you no longer have PRK installed, or you can't sign in, email privacy@prknyc.com from the address associated with your account and ask for account deletion.
In-app deletion is immediate. Emailed requests are processed within 30 days, and we'll confirm by email once it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Vehicle and license plate information
- Dispute case details and correspondence
- Your Stripe customer/payment-method reference (the card itself lives with Stripe, not PRK — see our Privacy Policy)
- Any AI provider keys you added (these are stored only on your device, and are cleared by either Option 1 or Option 2)
What we may keep, and why
We may retain limited records of disputes that were actually filed with the NYC Department of Finance, even after account deletion, where needed for legal, financial, or recordkeeping obligations tied to that filing. We don't retain this to keep using it for any other purpose — see Section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
